Induction Cap Sealing Machines

INDUCTION SEALING
Induction sealing is a non-contact process of heating metals. It has many industrial applications, one of them is in packaging industry wherein a heat - sealable foil laminate inside the cap of the container can be made to form a hermetic seal with the mouth of the container. A typical induction sealable laminate consists of a layer of duplex board / backup material, a layer of wax, aluminum foil duly laminated to heat - sealable polymer that is compatible with the bottle material and capable of heat sealing to the lip of the container. This multi-layered liner is placed inside the closure and capped on to the container. When the container is passed through an electromagnetic field produced by the induction machine, the foil heats and melts the wax layer which is absorbed into the duplex board / backup material, releasing the laminate from the board and the polymer coating melts, hermetically sealing the foil laminate to the mouth of the container. Sealing also depends on all round pressure and contact of the heat - sealable foil laminate with the lip of the container (i.e. the right amount of capping torque). Also container lip should be without burrs or ridges.
ADVANTAGES OF INDUCTION SEALING
• Seal if tampered is evident.
• Quality is assured and pilfering deterred.
• Develops customer's confidence.
• Preserves the contents sealed for longer shelf life
• Prevents contents from leaking
